    • Education and Training

    “Profit lies in the shadow of people's joy.” This is the doctrine put forward by Ukai’s founder who found joy in other people’s happiness. To ensure the happiness of both our customers and ourselves, the Ukai Group has always done its utmost to cultivate a sincere spirit of hospitality.
    With this principle as our cornerstone, we will not only offer a practical curriculum of Japanese aesthetics and craftsmanship but also create opportunities for students to work both in Japan and abroad, enabling talent and skills to circulate freely across national borders.

Works

  • EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

    We oversaw the full production of Ukai-tei Osaka, a counter-style restaurant located within the Lounge & Dining area of the EXPO 2025 venue. Our involvement included menu development, operational planning, training of external staff, and dispatching skilled chefs to the site.
    *The Lounge & Dining area is a restaurant facility jointly operated by Royal Holdings Co., Ltd. and Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc.

  • Vietnam Expansion

    In late May 2025, our President and CEO, Mr. Sasano, visited Vietnam and signed a partnership agreement with Sun Hospitality Group to support the development of a new restaurant within The Ascott, scheduled to open in 2026 in the Van Phong Economic Zone in Hanoi.Starting approximately one year prior to the opening, we will dispatch an executive chef from Japan to provide technical training and oversee preparations on-site.

  • International Restaurant Operations

    In partnership with Formosa International Hotels Group in Taiwan, we operate Ukai-tei Kaohsiung and THE UKAI TAIPEI. Our role includes providing expertise in culinary techniques, service standards, and restaurant management, as well as dispatching staff and organizing special events. We remain dedicated to sharing the essence of Japanese cuisine and the Ukai experience with the world, beginning from Taiwan.

  • International Event Achievements

    At TAMAYURA, the Japanese restaurant inside the renowned JW Marriott Hotel Seoul, we entered into an event production agreement and have hosted gala dinners for three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025. Our contributions include culinary guidance in Japanese cuisine and supervision of select menu items.Led by Mr. Sasano, executive chefs from both the Japanese and Western culinary divisions of Ukai traveled to Seoul, where they collaborated with local staff to present exclusive multi-course menus highlighting locally sourced ingredients.
